The Bill of Rights is very important to our country because it set the important foundation of rights we have today. For example, in the Amendment 1 talked about audience being allowed to make free speech, press, and religion. This helped our country today by allowing people speak and believe in whatever they want. This Amendment included people asking the government to correct a wrong situation. Also, in the Amendment 2, Right to Bear Arms, stated that government cannot interfere with gun owners. In the Amendment 4, Search and Seizure, declared that all people who were said to commit a crime were all innocent until proven guilty. Besides the other important Amendments that help the founding of our country, the Amendment 9, Bail and Punishment said that a person who is awaiting trial can be released form jail if he or she pays bail (a bail is money or property that the accused person agrees to give up if they fail to return from trial). It also mentioned that the punishments could not be cruel or unusual. The Amendments from the Bill of Rights is still necessary today because without these rights, our country might not have the justice we have today with these Amendments such as the ones I mentioned above and more.
Great post. I believe what you believe.
