The bill of rights is truly what lets us have the freedom that most countries do not have. I think ammendmant one is the most important. It says that the government can not pass any sort of law concerning religion, right to speech, the media doing their buisness, the right of a bunch of people getting together to discuss something, and to blame the government if their are cassulties in a violent event. This ammendment covers the right of speech which is very important because we can state our opinion if the government passes a law we strongly oppose. For example, the law Arizona passed about immigration could have been first opposed by the citizens of the state who might have told the government to take it away. Another important thing is religion because if we did not have this, the governmant would still be telling people which religion to believe.
Well in the present, allowing the media/press do to their business, or in other words what they want, is letting them stalk famous people so they can put into magazines which markets George Bush buys his groceries from. Or what Paris Hilton was doing last Saturday and personal, and sometimes false, information about someone like the accusation of Tom Cruise being gay. Does this part of the first ammendment really help/better America?
