Today, an early morning explosion happened in Sadiya. Sadiya is around 60 miles north-east from Baquba, Diyala's capital. Eight Iraqi soldiers were killed when a house that they were going to raid blew up. Officials say that a gunman opened fire from a house near the Iraqi checkpoint. The soldiers surrounded the house and it blew up, killing eight of them. This event happened a day after six people were killed in attacks across the country including policemen. There has been a lot of violence happening the past few weeks. In Iraq, July has been the most deadliest month since 2008.Thanks for reading!
