It's true that "life's not fair" however life is generally unfair. It's either do something or get used to it. I personally think that the word "fair" shouldn't be used in an arguement. What is "fair"? What isn't? The way people think that are "fair" might not be the same as others. In an arguement, to me, it's considered cheating. The five year old in the link keeps responding to her mother saying "Thats not fair". When hearing the phrase "that's not fair" or "you're not being fair" can easily make a person feel guilty because of the way the other person feels. In addition, some might respond immediatly thinking that of course "life's not fair". "Fair" is similar to balance. If one person gains more than the other person then the balance tips over to that person making the other feel that it isn't fair. It's difficult to make things fair with others because of their needs and feelings. I consider this article to be important because once I read this, I've changed my veiw of the word "fair". I also realize that the phrases that consider life being unfair is unacceptable in an arguement. It's useless because everyone knows that life can't always be fair.
