Welcome! Week 1 Prompt

Hi guys!

This is going to be your new blog to get us through this semester! Enjoy.

Here is your prompt...
So for this first week, I expect you to do two things in your blog.

1. Explain your favorite debate so far, or a topic that you are particularly interested in. Tell me why, and provide some background information.

2. Watch this DEBATE . Rank the debate. Comment on what the strongest and least compelling arguments were to you.

    Do we have to watch the whole thing cuz it is about one hour long

    Andrew,
    You do have to watch the entire debate. Its a complete round and it's the last world championship. As of December 2009, these are the best debaters in the world. Also, you cannot rank the debate 1 through 4, if you do not see all of the speakers. Sorry its long, but it is a majority of the assignment.

    Hi Chris,
    When other people post, I will show up just as my initial post did. Additionally, on the right side of the window, it says Blog Archive, and each individual post can be found there.

    For assignment 1 and 2 for this week, we are suppose to post it on this blog page. Right? And also, what was the minimum amount again?

    Hi Yvonne,
    For this first assignment you can just create one new post and include both things. Make sure you create a new post(not comment here) and make the title Week 1: (your title). It can be as brief or as lengthy as you think is necessary to complete the assignment (you might want to check the assignment sheet).

    Hi Norbert,
    When you log in, it should take you to a dashboard where it shows the name of the blog you are a member of. Click new post, then follow the directions from above. Make sure you create a new post, not simply add comments to this one.
